Star City Greyhound Adoptions is having a community yard sale Saturday.
The sale will raise money for Star City Greyhound, which takes in retired racing dogs and finds them homes. The organization is run solely by volunteers.
The yard sale Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cave Spring Corners Kroger will be its biggest fund raiser of the year. All of the money raised will go directly to the dogs and their care.
"It helps pay for food, medical bills," said volunteer Brian Wimmer. "We get them spayed, neutered. We make sure their shots are all up to date."
You'll find a variety of items at the sale, including kids' items, books, and electronics. Dogs will also be there for adoption.
Star City Greyhound is also accepting donations of dog food.
