VincentBenjamin ranks sixth in HR category with three-year sales growth of 1,779%
PHOENIX, Sept. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- What happens when a small start-up gets feisty and just keeps taking the next step? Ask VincentBenjamin, a Phoenix-based job recruitment, staffing and consulting firm that is on a fast-track, showing up on the Inc. 500 list of America's fastest-growing companies. Growing from 25 employees at the start of this year to 54 today, the firm came up sixth in the human resources category, and 244th overall. Inc.'s list issue is available on newsstands now through November 20 and at www.inc.com. VincentBenjamin's revenues increased from $437,752 in 2009 to $8.2 million in 2012.
"We maintain the culture of a hardworking start-up with a philosophy of being a fun, fluid and focused company," said founding partner Ben Howard. "The recognition from Inc. confirms that our formula is working." Howard and his partner, Vincent Dorazio, launched the company in 2009 to break through the traditional impersonal nature of larger search and staffing firms. "Our clients say that they appreciate our approach of delivering better solutions faster, but also our attention to identifying candidates that match both their technical needs and culture," said Howard.
"The hiring landscape has changed immensely over the past four years," said Howard. Technology is ever-evolving with employers being inundated by companies trying to sell the latest resume filtering tools, discount job board websites and overseas resume mining farms. We put people over paper because that's what works," said Howard. "The fact that we know our clients and our communities makes all the difference."
"Contingency – or just-in-time – staffing has become an area of high growth for us because it is a popular solution among companies that are riding the waves of the economy," said Howard. (Forbes: What you'll need to know to be the boss in 2020)
"We continue to go great guns in 2013 -- both in terms of infrastructure and revenue," said Howard. "This year we launched a new office in Los Angeles and doubled the size of our recruiting and client services teams in our Phoenix, Denver and Irvine, California offices." The firm has also recently brought on a private equity firm to partner on future growth strategies.
The Inc. 500's 2013 companies generated a total of $14.1 billion in revenue and employ more than 52,100 people. Companies named in the past include Microsoft, Zappo's, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio and Oracle.
