Blacksburg town leaders are working to re-brand two local shopping areas.
They're hoping to combine Collegiate Square and the Turner Street Project into one district to be known as the North End.
They're working now with city council to get new signs for the center approved.
"Retail is at times difficult in Blacksburg, and we want to encourage that," said Kevin Sullivan, the associate vice president of Administration Real Estate. "Signage is one of those things. We want to get the right kinds of signs that the town is happy with, retailers are happy with, and hopefully the consumers are happy with."
The topic will be discussed at future Blacksburg city council meetings.
