Famous Anthony's Sells Pink Pancakes for Breast Cancer Survivors
A local restaurant's food is going pink for breast cancer awareness: Through the end of October, Famous Anthony's is selling pink pancakes all day.
Ten percent of the sales will be donated to the Carilion Breast Cancer Center.
Famous Anthony's Vice President Bonny Neale said it's important that the money raised helps cancer survivors in Southwest Virginia.
"We're a family-owned and -operated business," Neale said. "We're raised here and part of Roanoke, so we really wanted the proceeds to go local to help those in the community and give back to the community that has supported us for so long."
This is the first year Famous Anthony's is offering the colorful pancakes and Neale said they've been very popular so far.
