I-64 slow roll closures in Alleghany County on Sunday

Posted: Updated:

Drivers should be alert for eastbound and westbound "slow roll" lane closures on Sunday morning, October 20, 2013 along Interstate 64 in Alleghany County.

It's for a project to install overhead utility lines along I-64 in the Clifton Forge area.

Traffic will be controlled with an eastbound slow roll beginning at exit 21 (Low Moor) and finishing near mile marker 25. The westbound slow roll will start at exit 29 (Route 42) and also finish near mile marker 25. During the operation, the on-ramps at exits 24 and 27 will be closed.

Both closures are scheduled to take place from about 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. Slow-roll times are subject to change in the event of inclement weather or poor visibility.
