Posted: Updated:

Fire officials investigate a carbon monoxide incident in Christiansburg.

The Goodwill store on Peppers Ferry Road was shut down and evacuated, and six people who were inside were sent to the hospital.

Investigators have not yet determined what caused the spike in CO2 levels, but have ventilated the store and deemed it safe to reopen.

The customers and employees who were complaining of headaches and nausea are all now believed to be fine and in stable condition.
