HAMILTON, ON, Oct. 30, 2013 /CNW/ - Hamilton Health Sciences announced today the appointment of Rob MacIsaac as President and CEO, effective February 1, 2014. MacIsaac will take over from current President and CEO Murray Martin who is retiring after 13 years in the role.

MacIsaac is well known as a community builder. He is the recipient of both the Canada 125 and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee medals. Currently the president of Mohawk College, he led the transformation of Mohawk's main campus and has positioned the college as a hub for post-secondary education and applied research in health and technology for the Golden Horseshoe area. Prior to joining Mohawk, MacIsaac was the Chairman of Metrolinx, the transportation authority of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, and served three terms as Mayor of the City of Burlington from 1997 to 2006.
