A Grayson County grand jury indicted a Fries woman's boyfriend in her murder, according to the Commonwealth's Attorney's office.

Prosecutors say 35-year-old Matthew Steven Jones was indicted on a murder charge for the killing of Desia Rae George.  Investigators believe George was killed sometime between April 15 and May 22, 2013.

Members of George's family reported her missing on April 16, and both the Carroll County and Grayson County Sheriff's Offices helped search for her.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office named Jones a person of interest in the case on April 30. Officers found George's body in eastern Grayson County on May 22.

Jones is being held in Randolph County, North Carolina on a bank robbery charge.

Grayson County prosecutors say the murder charge will be prosecuted after the bank robbery charge.
