A local church makes a difference for more than 150 people in need with Operation T.O.U.C.H., or Touching Others Using Caring Hands.
It's the third annual event put on by Perfecting Unity Church on Melrose Avenue in Roanoke.
The church partnered with local business leaders to give free haircuts, nail treatments, career counseling, and several other services to prepare participants for jobs.
"There's a lot of homeless people in Roanoke," says Sandra Conrad, who was getting her hair cut. "There's a lot of people out of jobs that are wanting to look good and feel good and it's very important to find a job and just feel good about yourself and there's a need for it in this community."
The church also offered a clothing give-away for adults and children, and free health screenings.
