More charges have been filed, and two additional arrests have been made in connection to a deadly shooting in Martinsville.
Willie Grant, 21, was originally considered a victim since he was shot on Sunday along with 20-year-old Eugene Jones.
Grant has now been arrested, and faces four firearm-related charges. Devin Pritchett, 20, and a 17-year-old have also been arrested.
Police say Jones died Sunday after he was transported to the hospital.
A Henry County man is now behind bars, charged in a deadly Martinsville shooting.
Police say Devin Pritchett shot Eugene Jones and Willie Grant on the 400 block of 3rd Street early Sunday morning.
Jones died at the hospital. Grant is still in serious condition.
The shooting is still under investigation.
Police are looking for anyone with information regarding two separate shootings.
Martinsville Police first responded to a shooting at the 100 block of Pony Place around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, police saw the residence had been shot, but no one was hurt.
While police were investigating that shooting, they heard gunshots a few streets over. Officers left the first scene and went to the 400 block of Third Street, where they found a car crashed into a utility pole.
Police also found 20-year-old Eugene Jones and 21-year-old Willie Grant shot. The men, both from Martinsville, are in Roanoke Carilion Hospital and listed in serious condition.
While investigating the Third Street incident, police were confronted by a large crowd. Officers from other localities were called in to help them, as well as other officers at the hospital.
Charges are pending.
