Kids in need around the world will have a brighter holiday this year thanks to people across the commonwealth.
Monday marks the end of the collection week for Operation Christmas Child.
All week, people stopped by Salem Baptist Church to help fill empty shoe boxes with gifts.
"There's always an expression of good feeling about taking these shoe boxes, going off, going overseas to children that they will never see," said network coordinator Richard Ikenberry.
To give you an idea of how big a difference this program makes, a truckload of shoe boxes was shipped out on Friday, and since then people have already donated another full truckload.
