Hokies Eddie Looking to Attack the Rim

Posted: Updated:

The Hokies of coach James Johnson clearly want to be more than a jump shooting team--and senior Jarell Eddie is leading the aggressive charge to the bucket. Eddie knotched his second straight double-double...a 14 point, 10 rebound effort against Furman in a resounding 75-54 win. Eddie says he needs to take advantage of teams that are playing him to shoot---and drive to the bucket. He's been doing that more..as his output has mirrored the improvement. Eddie is averaging nearly 17 and a half points a game to lead the team in scoring. Coach Johnson says he's still looking for his team to go inside even more--with the added size this season inside..plus his bigger, stronger swingmen like Eddie---are capable of doing just that, and getting higher percentage shots. The Hokies at 4-3 host Radford next.
