Salem man not hurt after train hits his car

Roanoke County Police say a Salem man was not hurt after his vehicle was hit by a train this morning.

   According to police., 26-year-old Michael Woods was attempting to cross the train tracks on the spring hollow access road... Off of west river road. 

 Wood's vehicle got stuck, and a passing train ran into it.

Though he was not hurt, his vehicle was significantly damaged.
