Mardi Gras means Fat Tuesday. But that's a school night, so we're letting the good times roll tomorrow with two parties. First, hit The Quarter for their Mardi Gras celebration with our sister station The CW5. We're theming it up New Orleans-style with the hit show The Originals. Everything gets underway around 5 p.m. Then, later, head on over to Corned Beef and Company in downtown Roanoke for Pardi Gras. You'll find all the food and beverages, masks and beads and everything else you need to feel like you're right on Bourbon Street.
And, after completely conquering the pop music world, Darius Rucker, formerly with Hootie and the Blowfish, decided to take on country music. It's working out well for him with his third country album True Believers. He takes to the stage at the Roanoke Civic Center tomorrow night at 7 p.m. with special guests The Eli Young Band and David Nail. Tickets to see Darius "Don't Call Me Hootie" Rucker are available now at the Roanoke Civic Center ticket office or online at roanokeciviccenter.com.
Hitting theaters this weekend, Liam Neeson is an air marshal who receives a series of text messages that put his trans-Atlantic flight at risk. The bad guys want $150 million transferred to an off-shore account. Liam certainly ain't gonna allow that! Julianne Moore also stars. "Non-Stop" is rated PG13.
