Tonight we kick off the weekend with an evening of Pink Floyd with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra. This show answers the RSO audience's demand for their Jeans 'n Classics series to celebrate the music of Pink Floyd with elections from The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon with a full symphony orchestra in the RSO's anniversary pops finale. The show starts at 7:30 tonight at the Salem Civic Center and you can learn more at rso.com.

This weekend's highlighted run bills itself as the happiest on the planet. The Color Run is tomorrow and it's not really about speed, so anyone can do it. It's about the color! So much color that the thing is sponsored by Shout! Proceeds from the run will benefit the Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center. The race starts tomorrow at the Salem Civic Center at 9. The latest installment in the Captain America series hits megaplexes this weekend. "Captain America: the Winter Soldier" checks in on Captain America/Steve Rogers as he is still struggling to fit in in the modern world. Add a little Cold War paranoia with a Soviet agent called the Winter Soldier and let the explosions fly. A tip for you: there are additional scenes during and after the credits so don't get up right away. Chris Evans as cap, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson star in "Captain America: the Winter Soldier" is rated PG13.
