ROANOKE (WSLS) - Another local star lineman chooses the SEC.

Northside star offensive and defensive lineman Chance Hall chose Tennessee live on WSLS Thursday during the 5:30 p.m. newscast.

It was broadcast live from Northside's auditorium. The choice was streamed live on hokiehaven.com and rivals.com

The 6'5" 298-pounder projects to be an offensive lineman, although he played both ways for Burt Torrence's state champion Vikings squad at Northside.

His final five schools included Virginia Tech, Virginia, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt.

Hall received upwards of 20 major Division I scholarship offers. He is a consensus 3-star recruit who is considered one of the top lineman prospects in the nation.

Hall says he chose Tennessee after a couple of visits where he kept getting more and more comfortable with the school, and he loves the bigtime football atmosphere the Knoxville delivers.
