ROANOKE (WSLS) - Dozens of people crammed their way inside a Roanoke tattoo shop to beat cancer.
About 80 people went to "Chips Custom Tat 2" to get small cancer ribbons tattooed on their body.
The owner, Chip Thomas, says the event is to raise money for the American Cancer Society and a family friend who is battling stage 4 colon cancer.
He's also trying to break the "Guinness Book World Record" by tattooing non stop for more than 48 hours.
"It just shows how many people are actually affected by cancer cause I don't think all these people are here to get a cheap tattoo I think they are here that something happened in their life they want to support cancer," Thomas said.
Thomas hopes to raise at least $20,000.
