MIDDLESEX COUNTY (WSLS) – Virginia State Police have identified the pilot who was killed in a small plane crash in Middlesex County Sunday as 58-year-old Stephen Myers, of Christiansburg, Va.The single engine 1968 Cessna 150 crashed just before 5 p.m. Sunday at Lockley's Creek Road in Topping. Myers was killed in the crash, and a passenger was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries. State Police confirmed Monday that the passenger also passed away as a result of injuries she sustained in the crash. She has been identified as 48-year-old Misty Dawn McIntyre of Newport, Va.
We're told an investigator with the Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the cause of the crash.
